Purpose
Buddie is a recruitment and mutual-aid platform for university research. It is not an ethics review body, identity-verification authority, survey host or emergency service.
Account rules
Provide accurate account information, keep credentials secure and create only one account per University + Student ID. Credits have no cash value and may not be sold, transferred or manipulated.
Researcher responsibilities
Researchers must provide truthful recruitment information, obtain any required ethics approval and informed consent, protect participant data and comply with applicable university rules and law. Do not post advertising, harmful, deceptive, discriminatory or unlawful studies.
Participant responsibilities
Participants should review eligibility, consent, ethics information and the external provider before participating. Mark a study complete only after genuine participation. Buddie does not guarantee the quality, safety or outcome of external research.
Moderation
The administrator may investigate reports, pause or remove studies, reject fraudulent activity and restrict accounts to protect users and the platform. Removal from Buddie does not delete data held by an external survey provider.
Availability and changes
The service is provided on an as-available basis and may change or experience interruptions. These terms may be updated; continued use after an update means acceptance of the revised terms.
